A Message from Matt Hart, Executive Director, ITA
The ITA and The Center for Sleep Medicine (CSM) are committed to improving driver health. The Center for Sleep Medicine includes five American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accredited sleep centers located throughout the Chicagoland area. AASM accreditation is the gold standard by which physicians in the community and patients evaluate sleep medicine services. The centers are staffed by a multidisciplinary, multispecialty team of 13 board-certified sleep specialists who evaluate and treat: Insomnia, Snoring, Daytime Sleepiness, Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Shift Work Difficulties, Restless Legs, Periodic Limb Movements and Circadian Rhythm Disorders. Included are specialists from the fields of neurology, pulmonary medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine, pediatrics, dental sleep medicine, and behavioral health.
The Center for Sleep Medicine offers our members the highest level of care in the screening, testing, and treatment of sleep disorders and will create a monitoring plan for those individuals being treated for sleep apnea. Additionally, The Center for Sleep Medicine can work along side your organization to create a Fatigue Management Program to mitigate fatigue caused by sleep disorders, thereby reducing the probability of accidents caused by human error.
